A class of verse embracing five varieties, compared to the four castes, and formerly appropriated to them respectively, and one of a mixed form
வெண்பா, the best, or sacerdotal verse, composed of வெண்சீர் or இயற்சீர் feet, or of both arranged in the வெண்டளை mode. See வெண்பா. also Bab. Gram. p
2. அகவற்பா or ஆசிரியப்பா, the princely or royal verse formed chiefly of இயற்சீர், and the connexion called ஆசிரியத்தளை. See ஆசிரியம்
