கும்பகலசம் — A small pot of water, wound round with thread and otherwise ornamented, placed on heaps of grain, deified temporarily by incantations, and worshipped as the representative of a deity–as many pots being set as there are deities invoked on the occasion, மந்திரகும்பம்.
கும்பசலம் — The water in the sacred pot, afterwards sprinkled on the people, or sipped by them, as possessing mystic virtue to cure disease, to expiate sin, &c., மந்திரகும்பநீர்.
