சொட்டுவைக்க — To give a tap on one's head.
சொட்டுப்போட — To give a slap. 2. To disparage one's character. வட்டுவத்தின்மேல்சொட்டுப்போட்டால் வட்டுவத்திற்குமாத்திரமாபடும். Will the slap on the betel-pouch affect that only, or also what it contains; i. e. if one member of a family suffers, will not others be affected?
சொட்டுச்சொட்டென்றொழுக — To drizzle, fall in drops.
சொட்டுத்தண்டம் — A contribution made unwillingly, through the influence of others.
சொட்டுச்சொல்–சொட்டைச்சொல் — A jest. 2. A stigma.
சொட்டுப்பால் — Thick milk, chiefly of the cocoa-nut.
