Many, several, diverse, sun- dry, manifold, numerous, &c., ஒன்றல்லன. [Compare Sa. Bahula.]– In combin. பல், பற், பன், as பல்பொருள், பற்பல, பன்மணி. பலதுளிபெருவெள்ளம். Many drops make a great flood; i. e. many small sums make a great amount. பலதீட்டுக்கொருமுழுக்குப்போடுகிறது. One bathing for various pollutions; i. e. many difficulties settled at once. >பலபொருள்குறித்த ஓரிடைத்திரிசொல், s. A particle difficult to be understood, and capable of being applied to different things.
பலகலப்பு–பலகலவை — Mixture of diverse things, miscellany. பலகலப்பு ஒருசாதி. A caste of mongrels; lit. several mixtures in one caste.
