சத்தங்காட்ட — To give a signal with the voice, &c. to call, to halloo. 2. To cry out, clap hands, &c., in order to scare away snakes, wild beasts, &c. 4. To cry out, as a signal in cases of danger.

சத்தகன்னிகை–சத்தமாதர்கள் — The seven famous goddess, or Saktis. See மாதர். (c.)
சத்தகம் — A funeral ceremony, giving seven kinds of things–as rice, clothes, money, &c., to seven brahmans, ஓர் மரணகன்மம்.
சத்தகுலாசலம் — The seven distinguished mountains in India: மகேந்திரம், மலயம், சகியம், சத்திமான், இருட்சம், பாரிபாத்திரம், மாவிந்தம்; (காந்.) also seven mountains which are fancied to exit in each of the seven Dwipas.
சத்தசாகரம்–சத்தசமுத்திரம் — The seven circumambient seas. (See கடல்.) 2. Met. Abundance. சத்தசாகரமாய்ப்பெய்தது. It rained abundantly, (lit.) As it were the seven seas.
சத்தசுரம் — The seven musical tones or notes, represented by the letters ச, ரி, க, ம, ப, த,நி. See சுரம்.
