அலகு

அளவைகளின் மிகக்குறைந்த அளவு, ஓர் அலகு எனப்படும், ( எடுத்துக்காட்டு ) - நிறுத்தலளவையில் கழஞ்சு,கிராம் என்பன அலகுகள் ஆகும். அறிவியலார் எந்த ஓர் இயற்பொருளையும் (Physical Quantity) அளக்க ஒரு அலகை (unit of measure) கையாளுவர். இவ்வகை அலகுகளில் பலவும் உலகளாவிய ஒரு அமைப்பால்(SI units) தகுதரப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
