இளித்தவாய்ப்பட்டம் — Notoriety for grinning, இளிச்சவாயனெனப்படுகை. 2. The character of a sauntering idler. 3. The state or character of one baffled or defeated in his projects. குரங்குபோலிளித்தவாயன். One who grins like a monkey.
பல்லையிளிக்க — To laugh foolishly.
இளிச்சற்கண் — Blear eyes, eyes sore with rheum.
இளிப்பு–இளிவு — Grinning, simpering, tittering, பல்லிளிக்கை. 2. Ridicule, scorn, derision, இழிவு. 3. Disgrace, நிந்தை. நாயையடித்துப்பல்லிளிவுபார்க்கிறதினாலேயென்ன? What will it avail to strike a dog and then look at its grin? [prov.] ஏள்ளினிளிவாமென்றெண்ணி. Considering that it would be disrespectful to neglect him. (குறள்.)
